Nothing else works like CORID®(amprolium) against coccidiosis.
- CORID is the first and only coccidiostat labeled for use as both a preventive and treatment therapy.
- Only CORID is formulated for use as a true solution in drinking water or as a drench.
- CORID has a unique mode of action.
How CORID works
Structurally, CORID mimics thiamin (Vitamin B1) which is required by coccidia for normal growth and reproduction. When coccidia ingest CORID, they experience thiamin deficiency and starve from malnutrition. CORID has been experimentally administered at many times the recommended dosage and duration with no signs of toxicity.
When CORID works
CORID stops coccidia at a critical stage in the host animal's small intestine to prevent more damaging coccidiosis in the large intestine. By acting on the young asexual stages of the coccidia life cycle, CORID allows exposure to first-generation schizonts, so the host animal can develop natural immunity to coccidia. This makes CORID uniquely effective as a preventive therapy.
How
CORID pays
PREVENT THE DISEASE
- Administer CORID when experience tells you
conditions are favorable for the development
of coccidiosis or any time cattle are exposed
to unusual stress
- Effectively breaks the coccidia life cycle
before a clinical coccidiosis outbreak can occur
- Preventing coccidiosis allows animals to absorb
nutrients naturally, so they maintain the ability
to fight stress
- Reduces the spread of infective coccidia oocysts
TREAT THE OUTBREAK
- Administer CORID at the first clinical sign
of coccidiosis, such as diarrhea and dehydration
- Stops the development of merozoites before
they further damage the large intestine
- Reduces oocyst discharge in the feces, to
reduce disease spread
- Unique drinking water or drench administration
ensures CORID will reach the intestine, even
in animals with reduced feed intake and low
gastrointestinal motility
- CORID is the only coccidiostat that treats
clinical coccidiosis

CORID. The strongest option for preventing coccidiosis.
The only option for treating coccidiosis.
- Unique flexibility. CORID is the only product specifically
labeled to both prevent and treat bovine coccidiosis
(bloody scours) caused by Eimeria bovis and E. zurnii
in calves.
- Administration flexibility, too. CORID can be administered
in drinking water, or as a drench, to prevent or treat
bovine coccidiosis.
- CORID should be used on a group, pen or herd basis.
When one or more calves show clinical signs of coccidiosis,
it's likely the rest of the group has been exposed
to coccidia and all calves in the group, pen or herd
should receive CORID.
- Palatable. CORID is palatable and readily accepted
by cattle.
- Safety. CORID has been tested at many times the
recommended dose levels and has a wide safety margin.
